Government barriers on Business For example, the Endangered Species Act prevents \'disturbing the habitat\' of the spotted owl. That has restricted 4.2 million acres of forest from development, leading to the loss of 30,000 lumber-related jobs and the annual loss of 1.1 billion board feet of lumber. This has driven up the cost of houses by at least $4,000 each. In addition, regulators ordered a Kansas City bank to install a Braille keypad on its drive-through automatic teller machine, presumably to aid any blind drivers. The list goes on and on.
You know I have always tried to be honest with you and open about my life, so I need to tell you that part of what you have heard and read is correct. I am addicted to preion pain medication.
National Defense A strong USA defense brought down the Soviet Union. It was Ronald Reagan - first in a speech at Notre Dame University in May 1981, then his \'Evil Empire\' speech of March 1983 - who most eloquently declared communism\'s imminent demise. Reagan was right. And even Soviet officials attribute Ronald Reagan\'s rhetoric and foreign policy to bringing down that \'evil empire.\' By Christmas Day, 1990, the Soviet Union ceased to exist. Liberals wished it were other things.
People love hearing Trump tell a media person, \"You\'re stupid, what kind of question is that? You have no idea what you\'re talking about, let me tell you what -\" They love that. Nobody ever talks back to \'em. Nobody ever gets on their case.
He discusses his service in Iraq, the wounds he suffered there and he says to me in this ad, until you have the guts to call me a phony soldier to my face, stop telling lies about my service. You know, this is such a blatant use of a valiant combat veteran, lying to him about what I said, and then strapping those lies to his belt, sending him out via the media and a TV ad, to walk into as many people as he can walk into.
Obama wouldn\'t have been voted president if he weren\'t black. Somebody asked me over the weekend why does somebody earn a lot of money have a lot of money, because she\'s black. It was Oprah. No, it can\'t be. Yes, it is. There\'s a lot of guilt out there, show we\'re not racists, we\'ll make this person wealthy and big and famous and so forth.... If Obama weren\'t black he\'d be a tour guide in Honolulu or he\'d be teaching Saul Alinsky constitutional law or lecturing on it in Chicago.
Well, Rush, look what happened? 9/11 happened, and we didn\'t know it in advance. That\'s right, we got hit, we got hit big time. We need a new agency to make sure it doesn\'t happen again, Rush.\" And that was the excuse for starting Department of Homeland Security. The government grows and grows and grows and grows, and what do we get? Little old ladies wanded, scanned for bombs and weapons under their skirts next to the incontinence diapers. A bunch safer.
Why would we expect the French to fight to liberate the Iraqis when they wouldn\'t fight to liberate themselves?
Not my political ideas. Conservatism didn't buy this house. First and foremost I'm a businessman. My first goal is to attract the largest possible audience so I can charge confiscatory ad rates. I happen to have great entertainment skills, but that enables me to sell airtime.
When do we ask the Sierra Club to pick up the tab for this leak?
We are not obligated to share.
Our obligation is to ourselves and obligating to ourselves the job of defending and protecting America is how we serve other people around the world, not by letting this country go to hell. We are under no such obligation.
America has been around less than 250 years, and in less than 250 years we have created what is the greatest country on earth. There are reasons for it. And any other country on earth could do the same thing. They could structure it the same way, and if they don\'t have natural resources they could economically structure a way to barter, share, buy, trade, you name it. They could do the same thing.
We\'re not obligated to watch ourselves be dissolved away simply because it\'s not fair that we\'re so big and powerful. And a lot of people think that it is. And it\'s not. It\'s not an obligation. You wouldn\'t let your own home be treated this way. You wouldn\'t let your own neighborhood be treated this way. And you don\'t have to let your own country, either.
Memorial Day, the reason for it, fewer and fewer people know. It\'s just the first real weekend of summer, three-day weekend and so forth, barbecues, what have you. That\'s why I think education is important. I\'m really glad my dad drilled into me these things that he had lived through and it helped me relate to him better and understand the things he thought were important and why he was raising me the way he was.
We don\'t have the right to tell less fortunate disadvantaged people that they can\'t come to the USA and get what we have. You see, that\'s all predicated on the fact that what we have is simply luck and it isn\'t fair that the rest of the world doesn\'t have it. The rest of the world could have it. Human civilization has been around however many number of years you want to add up.
We are not obligated to open our borders and let America be dissolved to nothing simply because it\'s the greatest on earth and that\'s unfair.
Many ordinary Americans make themselves feel better by saying what the famous daytime TV idiot says. But it leads to absolute calamity and disaster, as we are seeing.
What Mr. Loughner knows is that he has the full support of a major political party in this country ... he knows that ... the Democrat party is attempting to find anybody but him to blame. He knows if he plays his cards right, he\'s just a victim. ... This guy clearly understands he\'s getting all the attention and he understands he\'s got a political party doing everything it can, plus a local sheriff doing everything that they can to make sure he\'s not convicted of murder -- but something lesser.
It\'s beyond me how anybody can look at these protestors and call them anything other than what they are: anti-American, anticapitalist, pro-Marxist communists.
I\'ll say something else about Christine O\'Donnell. You ready? I\'d rather look at her than Mike Castle. I think she\'s kind of cute. I think she\'s kind of refreshing. She\'s a conservative. What\'s the problem?
Congress decides who becomes a citizen and how. To automatically say the 14th Amendment grants birthright citizenship, no, we can\'t change that. Amending the Constitution, not possible, takes too long. We gotta find another way of dealing with this. No, we don\'t, because it\'s not there. You don\'t have to amend the Constitution.
What better way to head off more oil drilling, nuclear plants, than by blowing up a rig? I\'m just noting the timing, here.
It\'s difficult to say there\'s something I dislike the most about Hillary Clinton. Frankly, in a weird way, she\'s had to eat a whole lot of excrement sandwiches in her life, and some days she\'s had mustard to put on them and some days not. Some days mayonnaise and some days just plain.
I\'ve never run across anybody who suggested that women need to be reprogrammed. I don\'t think I\'ve even come across anybody who wanted to teach a girl how to throw right. They just accept it is what it is. But honestly, folks, it\'s always reprogramming men. It\'s always men who seem to provide or be at the root of all of these cultural problems. And if we could just make men less like men and more like, I guess, women, then we would be rid of all of these problems.
There isn\'t a single government agency that can\'t function. There\'s more money in this federal government, there\'s more money allocated than these people can possibly spend. They have to concoct asinine ways to spend it, like advertising for new food stamp users. I\'ve gotten to the point, I\'m just so righteously indignant and offended at the very idea that our government could ever run out of money when we\'ve got a printing press, for crying out loud. Printed three and a half trillion dollars over seven years and flooded Wall Street with it.
You can\'t sue a president, a former president. They\'re indemnified.
Would you pull the lever for yourself, Ben Affleck? What has Barack Obama meant to your movie career, Ben?
I leave the politics at the office when I go out.
There\'s nothing in the 14th Amendment that says if you are born to a mother who is a citizen that you\'re automatically a citizen. It isn\'t there. Even some of our presidential candidates think that it is.
