These people in media have a personal attachment to Barack Obama and his presidency and his legacy. And so Trump... It\'s just another of many reasons why Trump has to be diminished, destroyed, impugned, or what have you. But Middle East trip is so phenomenally successful, so phenomenally positive that they can\'t report it because it doesn\'t fit with the Trump whom they have painted in the last six or so months. But it\'s still getting out there.
My point is Trump is Trump. He\'s the same guy wherever he is. But the reporting on him on Middle East trip is nowhere near like the reporting on Trump when he\'s in Washington. There aren\'t any leaks. For example, we haven\'t yet seen a story quoting unnamed sources in the Saudi government saying that the king was profoundly embarrassed when Trump asked if there was a McDonald\'s nearby.
The Clinton Foundation has had to refile their taxes. And I remember when the first report came, the reaction everybody had. \"Well, how come they get to do it again instead of being penalized for it? You file wrong, and you make a mistake, and they\'re gonna come at you and demand penalties and what. The Clintons made a mistake three times and they\'re allowed to refile?\" And then we realize what the IRS did to Tea Party fundraising groups, denying them status.
Donald Trump won the election by three million votes, if you throw out California and New York. You throw out California, New York, Trump wins by three million votes. If you include California and New York Hillary wins by, what was it, 2.5 or 2.2 million votes. It\'s a perfect illustration of why we have the Electoral College.
I think it\'s a Pew survey of Millennials, and the first one is that more and more Millennial-aged women are ashamed and embarrassed that they earn more than their husbands or boyfriends.
The one-two punch of New York media calling up every agency and corporate advertiser, keeping lists of advertisers who stayed on - \" i.e., with Bill O\'Reilly \" - and those who fled, worked. As the publisher of a center-right magazine, this is disturbing. It sets a very bad precedent about the power of advertiser pressure and sends a message as an organization that you can essentially be blackmailed into getting rid of - \" no kidding!
Donald Trump has a unique connection with his voters. There aren\'t that many people personally invested in Barack Obama. The people invested in Obama are invested in an idea that it\'s about time white America took it on the chin. That it\'s about time the people that founded this country found out what it\'s like to not be in a majority. That\'s the kind of people Obama has a connection to.
You\'re probably bored now hearing me cite how many seats the Democrats lost nationwide, national, state, local, in those three elections, In the 2010 midterms, the 2014 midterms, and in 2016. It\'s over 1500 seats.
That\'s what world leadership is: A willingness to point at bad guys and say they\'re the bad guys and to keep the bad guys from getting worse! That\'s leadership. Obama didn\'t want to go there.
Donald Trump wins 2,623 counties and Hillary Clinton with 489. You know how many counties independents won? Zero. Just like they always have. Not one county. Independents did not win one county. The exception to that, 1992 when Ross Perot won 15. The independents don\'t win anything. That\'s why I\'ve always - the precious independents and the moderates and so forth. So much bohunk out there.
If Barack Obama believes there are no victims in U.S, then I assume he\'ll shut down all the civil rights offices throughout the federal government, starting with the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice. If there are no victims, all affirmative action laws will immediately be repealed. Same thing for equity in pay.
There is a route to the presidency in this country, and it\'s called the Electoral College, and both candidates base their campaigns on winning the Electoral College, not the popular vote. And in that pursuit, Donald Trump won in a landslide or near landslide. And in that pursuit, Barack Obama and his agenda was repudiated. And not just this year. In the 2010 midterms, the 2014 midterms, and this election.
There hasn\'t been a leak from one of the associates of the king saying, \"This guy Trump, he already insulted us wanting ketchup with his steak, and then he wanted two scoops of ice cream on the falafel. It\'s not done. This guy\'s an absolute barbarian.\" And there hasn\'t been a leak from an associate of King Salman telling somebody in the Drive-By Media that Donald Trump looked at his son, the prince, and said, \"Man, I hope you live a long time \'cause your son\'s a nut job.\" We haven\'t had leaks like this about the Trump foreign trip.
That\'s what I\'m doing here, throw out New York and California, Donald Trump wins the popular vote by nearly three million votes. But you can\'t throw out New York and California. This is exactly why we have the Electoral College. Had there been no Electoral College and had the election be defined by the popular vote, I guarantee you that the two states where the candidates would have been all the time are New York and California. There would have been some time in Texas and they would have ignored the vast majority of people in the country.
Donald Trump\'s connection is personal. It\'s rooted in personal desire, personal loyalty for him to succeed. Barack Obama doesn\'t have that. Never did. But don\'t try to tell Obama that. Obama believes that he has the exact kind of connection with voters that Trump has.
The presidential campaign was oriented toward the way we elect the presidency, Electoral College, not the popular vote. The popular vote doesn\'t matter. This is not a direct democracy. We have a representative republic, and the popular vote doesn\'t matter and it never has, by design.
Do we believe the Russians or do we believe our own lying media? Yeah, believe the Russians hands down, believe the Russians hands down. And why do we know that Donald Trump called James Comey a nut job? Somebody, unnamed source, called the paper and read them what Trump said. And then Sean Spicer got on there and basically confirmed it by saying, \"Well, yeah, but this was a little out of context here and there.\"
There\'s a big difference in Trump and previous Republicans. They have a strategy known as surrender. When the media starts coming after \'em and the Democrats come after \'em, the Republicans, \"Okay, okay, okay.\" Trump says, \"What? What?\" And just keeping plowing they had and then impugning \'em, laughing at \'em, making fun of \'em with his tweets and so forth.
There\'s stories out there that the Democrats are starting to slowly walk back the idea that Donald Trump\'s gonna be impeached. Do you know why that is? It\'s because there isn\'t any evidence, and there isn\'t any crime that Trump has committed that anybody has been able to find.
All Trump has are the people that voted for him as a support group. He doesn\'t have the media. He doesn\'t have a community of think tanks and other intellectuals. Everybody in that group of people is a Never Trumper or an anti-Trumper or ambivalent. But Trump\'s base is all he\'s got, and they are still with him.
Was any criticism of Obama permitted? It was not. We can\'t criticize the president of the United States. Why? Because he\'s African-American. And any criticism is said to be racist. And so we have more racists in America today than we\'ve ever had by definition of criticizing the president.
Everybody thinks that Donald Trump called James Comey a nut job. What if he didn\'t? We already have documented countless lies that the media has told about Rod Rosenstein and about Comey requesting more money. Comey\'s trying to hide behind the curtain so that Trump won\'t notice him? Maybe he is a nut job. But everyone, \"I don\'t care what you say, Comey is a patriot, Comey\'s an American, Comey\'s on our side, you wouldn\'t dare, you wouldn\'t dare kneecap one of your own guys to your enemy.\"
We all want things in life. Donald Trump is to be known as a winner, because he does win. He wants to be known as a genuine - and he is a legitimate winner.
I know some of you people, \"Well, Rush, what do you mean Donald Trump won by 2.8? You can\'t throw out New York and California.\" Well, they are. They are. When they say the Russians hacked the election, which didn\'t happen, by the way.
The liberals are this way. When they lose elections, they don\'t look inward and ask what they did wrong. They look at you and ask, \"Why are you so stupid? How in the world could you have not voted for us?\".
If you start with the presumptions that liberals do, that corporations are evil and it all descends from that and that government is great and that government\'s there to make sure corporations play fair and are not mean and do not rip people off, there\'s a little bit of truth in everything. Some corporations are bad, some corporations have done bad things, but as a general rule, it\'s dangerous to subscribe to things like that.
The Donald Trump of Washington ends up being portrayed by all of these news stories that happen to be sourced by anonymous leakers. Every day in Washington at 5:30 there\'s a new bombshell in the Drive-By Media from an anonymous source once again informing us how incompetent, how ill-mannered, how ill-prepared, how in chaos, how out of touch Donald Trump is.
Net neutrality is a big deal to the left because it puts the government in charge of the internet. It puts the government in charge of content. It lets the government choose what you can watch and what you can\'t watch and what you pay for it. And that\'s bogus. In the name of competition, they want to take competition away from the net. They\'re leftists. They lie to you about what they want to do.
At any Trump rally, the Trump supporters were peaceful. They were enthusiastic. They loved America. They were excited. They were pro Trump. They were not bullies. They were not angry. They were not doing anything unless they were provoked.
We\'re looking at two different presidents here if all we have to go on is the media. When Donald Trump is in Washington, D.C., what is he? He is a genuine idiot. He\'s impolitic, he\'s uninformed, he\'s running a chaotic administration where nobody knows what anybody is doing. Whenever they do anything it is disastrous. But the Donald Trump of Washington doesn\'t exist, because the Donald Trump of Washington is what is reported in the Drive-By Media.
