Stephen Miller is from Santa Monica. He was educated I believe at Duke. He has worked for Jeff Sessions. He\'s in his thirties and he\'s brilliant. He is literally brilliant. He is one of the - if not the - best spokesmen that the Donald Trump administration can roll out to make the case for whatever policy positions they\'re trying to advance. He can make the case ideologically. He can make the case in common sense.
People come here to get educated. What\'s happening now, we educate them and once they have their degrees, we send them home. What this immigration bill does will allow them to stay and work, they will enter the U.S. workforce, and they will become taxpayers. This plan is about legal education.
When you buy a meal and you pay a fair price for it, are you doing this to ensure that the employees get health care? When you walk into Mickey D\'s and you buy a Big Mac, do you ask them, \"By the way, is this thing costing enough so that you get health care here? By the way, is this Big Mac costing enough so that you get a pension here?\" Do you think any of that when you go buy a Big Mac? No. You want it to be as cheap as it can be. That\'s why you\'re there.
With every innovation that has happened, we somehow, our country, our society has found jobs and a means of income for people who have been aced out. And it happens a lot with innovation, technological and otherwise. And people do prove adaptive.
I agree some people are biased, and I agree that they exist in a world of pure, sheer, raw hatred for anything they don\'t agree with, but I do believe they\'re also ignorant. I think they\'re dumb as skunks. I don\'t think they\'ve been educated. They haven\'t the ability to hear and listen to common sense and understand what it is.
You have plenty of liberals out there who are all for the cops raiding their political enemies, they\'re all for the cops doing whatever they have to do to get whatever goods they want on their political enemies. And yet the Patriot Act comes, oh, you can\'t do it, it\'s an invasion of privacy. And yet in some cases they don\'t care about other people\'s privacy. Privacy is irrelevant to them depending on what the target is.
My principles and core beliefs haven\'t changed in many years. You know, I don\'t change what I think with the wind just in order to perhaps attract more people. I am what I am, believe what I believe, and I say so.
Socialism, communism, literally kills the lifeblood of opportunity and energy and creativity because there is no outlet for it, and yet all of those things are a natural part of the human existence, desire, ambition, energy, creation. We all have those things in different amounts, different allocations. And they change.
Liberalism is unsustainable. When things go wrong in liberalism they pile more liberalism on top. Pretty good example of what\'s wrong with the US budget, US healthcare. Liberalism breaks it. Government breaks it. They pile more liberalism on top of it until it eventually implodes, like Obamacare is going to, or like Social Security is going to. All of these things, they\'re not sustainable, because liberalism isn\'t.
No matter what Bernie Sanders did, no matter how many delegates he was getting, Hillary Clinton was always going to trump this, and Bernie never had a chance. That\'s the real rigging of an election; that\'s the real interference in an election, and nobody talks about that, including Crazy Bernie.
The left have taken a really beautiful thing, male-female relationships, and turned them into a battle, a political battle, an ideological war. And if you doubt me, what is the War on Women? What the hell is it? How crazy is that entire concept, that there is a political party conducting a War on Women because they hate them. And the fact that they can sell that to their voters and make political gain on that basis is damn amazing to me. And yet how many people do you know who really believe that there\'s a War on Women, that Republicans/conservatives don\'t like women?
Remember back in the nineties, a bunch of Democrats decided to tax luxury items, including yachts? They figured it was not fair that some people could afford yachts, and so since they could, they said, \"We\'re gonna tax the hell out of yachts at the point of sale, \'cause it\'s not fair. We need to collect revenue from all this!\" What happened was that the people who actually build the yachts lost their jobs because people stopped buying them.
New immigration plan is about legal education. It allows educated people who want to become Americans to stay and become Americans. It was nothing but common sense. It went over the heads of the media because their prejudicial bias did not permit them to even understand this was about legal immigration.
Point is, you can\'t find a country on earth with a higher standard of living. You can\'t find a country higher than America. You can\'t find a place on earth where the opportunity to grow your standard of living, as an individual, is greater than the United States of America. Capitalism may not be perfect, but it\'s better than anything else that\'s out there.
The left is constantly attacking. They\'re constantly accusing. They\'re constantly alleging. They\'re trying to drive Donald Trump out of office. They are conducting a silent coup that is actually making a lot of noise.
The minute you hear subsidies, I don\'t care what, if it\'s health care, buying cars, the minute you hear subsidies, you have to understand, whatever\'s going on here, it isn\'t market forces.
Donald Trump\'s opponents believe are governing illegal immigration, the racism and so forth that they believe is why Trump wants to build a wall, because the nation is racist. The people that want to end illegal immigration, according to these idiots, are racists and bigots. They couldn\'t see they are way clear to understand that illegal immigration wasn\'t being talked about.
The successful human being is adaptable. We have to adapt to changes in weather. We have to adapt to changes in climate. We have to adapt to changing economic circumstances. People that don\'t have the flexibility to adapt or who are afraid of change or who oppose it are going to be left behind.
I cringe every time republican senators say, \"our Democratic friends.\" Chuck Schumer, if he is your friend, it\'s a problem. I mean, it shouldn\'t be, but we know it is.
The First Amendment does not extend to corporations. It\'s a U.S. government thing. Companies can shut speech down all they want. But the thing is this is destructive. This is discriminatory. And what they\'re telling themselves is they\'re making a much more peaceful environment. \"We are creating a much more conducive and productive and peaceful environment,\" when they\'re not. They\'re suppressing opinion. They are inflicting their own world view and demanding that it be agreed with and acceded to. And if it\'s not, you get fired.
In the media\'s eyes Bannon made Trump. Trump is too dumb to have made himself. Trump is too rough around the edges. Trump is not a deep enough thinker, and he\'s not nearly a brilliant strategist. Trump couldn\'t have gotten himself elected. That\'s what they all think. Bannon did that.
Members of the media, Jim Acosta of CNN and Glenn Thrush, formerly Politico, now the New York Times, and all of them actually think the Statue of Liberty is the symbol of immigration. And they believe the Emma Lazarus poem that is on the pedestal is the equivalent of immigration policy in the United States. They\'re not the only ones.
What the left are trying to do is to persuade millions of Americans that America itself is so unjust and illegitimate from the days of our founding that it isn\'t worth defending. It\'s that despicable. That\'s the objective here, and they are being aided and abetted by the fact that American history is so ill-taught.
There are people that tell you we gotta colonize Mars in the next 50 years if we\'re to survive as a human race. It\'s absolute stupidity. All it does is scare people - particularly young, impressionable minds who already think there isn\'t gonna be a planet in 30 years. Now they\'re thinking, since there isn\'t gonna be a planet, \"If we don\'t get to Mars in 30 years, I\'m gonna die.\"
There may be evidence the Russians are trying to tamper with elections. The Russians are trying to infiltrate everything we do, and they\'ve succeeded. They\'ve infiltrated Hollywood, they\'ve infiltrated our universities, probably try to infiltrate elections by who knows what. But the idea that there is evidence that Putin was actively trying to elect Trump, there isn\'t a morsel of evidence for that, yet it shows up. The truth of the matter is that Putin doesn\'t care who runs the United States. It doesn\'t matter to him.
Trump has not masked who he is. Trump has not behaved like the Democrats do. He does not go out and camouflage. He doesn\'t present a side of him that isn\'t real. He doesn\'t lie to people about what he believes. Although he has broken a serious promise. And he\'s got some immigration people that voted for him that are a little angry about that. That must be mentioned. But other than that, Trump voters know Trump is who he is. He doesn\'t act, he doesn\'t put on a front, he doesn\'t make up things - as opposed to the Democrats who can\'t be honest about who they are.
If we repeal Obamacare, it\'s the Wild West, and then you\'re gonna see the traditional manner and behavior of Washington kick into gear and start trying to craft something.
Hillary Clinton is actually telling her donors that Vladimir Putin targeted her personally because he\'s so afraid of her. We\'re dealing with some genuinely sick people here, folks, truly, I\'m talking mentally ill. They\'re not all there. They pose a great danger.
I don\'t think I\'ve ever heard anybody in this Regime counsel restraint and advise, \"No backlash against cops. We must maintain the order.\"
We\'ve got Donald Trump who doesn\'t want to go single payer, and this the Democrats and the establishment know. So there are two options here, and it\'s interesting to note that if you listen to the media and you listen to the Democrats, repealing Obamacare is the worst thing that could be done, but it isn\'t. Staying with Obamacare and letting it implode is the absolute worst outcome here. Repealing it means you repeal it. You get rid of every Obamacare law, and that means you start over.
